About Me
With over two decades of experience in both classroom and one-on-one tutoring, I specialise in English and maths from Year 3 to GCSE Foundation. Having recently relocated to the North York Moors, I continue to support students primarily in the Wetherby area, but welcome students from any location.
My Approach

Every student is unique, and I personalise each session to meet their specific needs, ensuring they receive the support and resources that help them thrive. Making Learning More Enjoyable
One-to-One Lessons
After a thorough assessment, students will continue with personalised online 1-to-1 sessions.
As an experienced tutor, I’ve developed a rich collection of resources to ensure that lessons remain both fun and effective. This interactive approach is seamlessly carried over to the online environment, where most students use a graphics drawing tablet, making the sessions as engaging and interactive as in-person lessons.
I also provide weekly feedback to parents and guardians, along with bespoke homework tailored to each student’s progress.
Entrance Exam Preparation
Every year, I provide entrance exam preparation for students who are applying to independent schools, including GSAL, Gateways, Ashville and Harrogate Ladies' College, and I have a 100% success rate for 7+, 8+, 9+, 10+ and 11+ exams.
Students with specific needs
Students seek tutoring for various reasons, often because they’re below the expected level for their age. While I typically address these gaps by reinforcing their skills and knowledge, I also specialise in identifying and overcoming other barriers to learning. I create personalised learning programmes that include incremental steps and carefully chosen resources. For example, in maths, I incorporate visual aids and hands-on apparatus, and in English, I provide personalised and scaffolded resources to support learning.
